| Typical Energy Consumption (TEC) Figures in kWh per week. Using Energy Star TEC Data |
Kyocera's new mono multi-functional printers use 40% less energy than comparable printers, saving more energy and more money.
Typical Electricity Consumption (TEC) is a method of testing and comparing the energy performance of certain imaging equipment products and focuses on the typical electricity consumed by a product while in normal operation during a representative period of time. The TEC metric is a proxy for a typical weekly electricity consumption.
TEC figures used to compare Kyocera's new Multifunctional Printers are supplied by Energy Star and are therefore independently verified. Visit the Energy Star website for more information.

Kyocera Mita's award winning laser printers are famous for their eco-efficiency. At the heart of this is our ECOSYS printer technology, which uses unique long-life drums and developers which are designed (and indeed guaranteed) to last for the design life of our workgroup printers.
In other laser printers, these items are contained in the consumable cartridge and replaced each time the toner runs out; by making them permanent components we greatly reduce the amount of waste generated by our printers (see images below) – as well as cutting the cost of consumables, typically by more than 50%.
