Compared with similar machines, Kyocera drum and developer life can be as much as seven times longer. And that’s not just an empty claim – we actually guarantee it.
Manufacturer's Warranty - for products purchased outright from a reseller
Kyocera provides a 2-year warranty for printers (with the exception of the FS-920, FS-1030D and FS-C5030N). This manufacturer’s warranty that is given to end-users generally operates on a Return to Base (RTB) basis for desktop and workgroup printers and entry-level mfps, and an on-site basis for colour and departmental printers. Exended warranty can also be purchased to both extend the service and upgrade the service level provided.
Dealer Warranty - for products leased or rented on a service-inclusive basis
Many of our dealers also offer printers and multifunctionals on a maintenance-inclusive basis, with payment collected via a lease or rental contract. In this case, the dealer takes on responsibility for providing maintenance during the warranty period, according to the terms of your individual contract. You are likely to pay less per page for a service-inclusive contract on a Kyocera machine, because the dealer's own maintenance costs are lower.
Special Drum and Developer (Long Life Components) Warranty
All Kyocera products use long-life components (which can include drum, developer or process unit) which are covered by a separate warranty that runs for either 3 years from the date of purchase or until the long-life component’s design is reached, typically 100,000 to 500,000 pages, depending on the individual model. The warranty operates on the same basis as the standard warranty that applies to the entire device - reverting to return-to-base if the device is out of warranty. Where the machine is provided on a service-inclusive contract, the long-life component warranty supports the dealer, enabling him to pass on lower maintenance costs to his customers.
